We’re getting very close. Some details about the day… Don’t drive. We strongly encourage you to take public transportation or walk. Parking is no fun and/or expensive in our neighborhood. We want you to enjoy the evening without worrying about the drive home. The ceremony is on August 4th at 4:30 on the terrace of Hills Plaza at 75 Folsom St (between Embarcadero and Spear). There’s only one elevator and it’s behind security, so give yourself some extra time to get upstairs. The reception is at Terra Gallery at 511 Harrison following the ceremony. It’s only a few blocks’ walk, but we will provide a shuttle so you don’t have to navigate the hill. Terra has two event spaces. We’re in the downstairs space (“Mer”). Apparently another guy named Brad is getting married in the upstairs space on the same day. If for some reason you aren’t on the shuttle, ...(Read More)

“You could wear black tie, but you would be overdressed.” For those that have asked, some notes on wedding attire: We will be outside for an hour or so for the ceremony. It could be warm or it could be blustery. Pack layers and watch the weather. It’s an evening event, but it’s NOT black tie. Wear wedding attire. I, for one, will be in a sweet three piece suit. I think Erin will be in an ivory dress. 😉 Wear comfortable shoes, there will be dancing! See you soon!

For out of town guests, here’s a list of some of our favorite things to do in San Francisco. Keep in mind that SF is one of the great walking cities in the U.S.. Give yourself several hours to take a stroll and soak in the sights. Just remember that it is likely to get cold in the evening. Don’t be that tourist that’s freezing in shorts and a t-shirt when the breeze kicks in as the sun sets! Farmer’s Market at the Ferry Building on Saturday morning – this is right across the street from the hotel and runs from 8 AM – 2 PM. Head to the back and grab some chilaquiles at the Primavera stand for breakfast. OR, across the street from the Ferry Building and a block or so down, go to Yank Sing for dim sum. Union Square – a few blocks up Market from ...(Read More)

Yesterday was one of those unusually warm, sunny days in our neighborhood. The high was 79 degrees Farenheit, the low was 54 and the sky was crystal clear. Perfect outdoor wedding weather. Today the high is 61 and we’ve been fogged in all day. It’s freezing. Here’s some historical weather data for August 4: Bring layers! To monitor the forecast, check out our wedding page at weather.com.

We have booked a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency on the Embarcadero, just three blocks from the ceremony location in SOMA. Rooms are $199/night. The cutoff to make reservations is July 26th. To book online, click here. To book via phone, call 888.421.1442 and mention the group name Connolly/Meador Wedding Block. This is in the heart of San Francisco and walking distance to the festivities. Parking is no fun in San Francisco. Our recommendation is to forego renting a car and walk or use public transportation. If you do decide to park a car at the hotel, it’s $50/day. View Larger Map
